Quick Morning Treat




2 cans of crescent rolls

Filling:
2- 8oz cream cheese bars
1 cup sugar
1 egg separated
1 tsp vanilla or almond extract (I use vanilla)

Topping:
1 cup sugar
1 TBSP cinnamon
1/2 cup sliced almonds
1 tsp water

Mix topping ingredients with a fork. 


Unroll 1 can of crescent rolls.  Place in the bottom of a 9x13 pan Mix cream cheese, sugar, egg yolk and vanilla with a mixer. Spread this mixture on the layer of crescent rolls. Unroll remaining crescent rolls and place on top of cream cheese mixture as a top crust.  Brush with egg white.  Sprinkle cinnamon/almond topping to cover crust.  Bake in a 350 degree oven for 36-45 minutes.
