Quick Donuts

1 package Pillsbury Biscuits, in the pop open tube - not flaky version!

Crisco shortening or oil of choice

Coatings:
1 cup sugar & 2 tablespoons cinnamon, mixed together or 2 cups powder sugar.  Or make some of each!

Melt and heat  Crisco or oil to about 350 degrees .  I use a large stock pot and you only need oil to be about 1 inch deep.

Using your thumb poke a hole in the center of the biscuit and make an opening to look like a donut.  Drop donut in oil and cook until the first side is lightly browned; turn and repeat on the other side.  Remove from oil and coat in topping of choice.  Do this for each biscuit!  Serve and enjoy!

* I made these once in a while for my boys when they were young for a special weekend treat!
