cup light Karo

cup water

teaspoon salt
1-pound
raw peanuts
3
tablespoons butter
Mix
together and set aside:

½ teaspoons baking soda
2
teaspoons vanilla
1
teaspoon water
Butter
2 cookie sheets and set in a warm oven.
In
a heavy-duty pan mix sugar, Karo syrup, and water together. Cook over medium-high heat stirring
occasionally until the candy reaches 240 degrees on the candy thermometer. Stir in butter and peanuts and continue to
cook stirring often until the candy reaches 300 degrees. REMOVE from heat and QUICKLY stir in the vanilla mixture
and then pour right onto 2 warm pans.
Let cool and then break and store in airtight containers or bags.
