Corn Bread Light and Sweet


 

1 cup flour

1 cup cornmeal

1 tablespoon baking powder

½ teaspoon salt

4 tablespoons sugar

1 ¼ cup buttermilk

1 – 2 eggs, beaten

¼ cup oil

 

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Mix all dry, then mix in buttermilk and lastly the oil.  Pour into a greased 8 – 9” baking dish and let it sit for 10 minutes. Then bake for 25 minutes or until done.
