Judy’s Green Beans Radicchio with Shaved Parmesan

2 ½ tablespoons EVOO
12 ounces green beans, trimmed
1 medium onion, halved and thinly sliced
Salt & pepper
1 ½ cups radicchio cut into ½: strips
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
½ cup Parmesan cheese shavings

In a large skillet heat 2 tablespoons of the olive oil.  Add the green beans in one even layer then add onions on top. Season with salt and pepper and cook undisturbed for 2 minutes. Add the radicchio and sauté for about 6 minutes stirring occasionally until radicchio has begun to wilt and brown and the green beans are crisp but tender. Stir in the garlic and cook for another minute transfer to a serving bowl drizzle with lemon juice remaining ½ tablespoon of olive oil and stir gently season with salt and pepper if needed and garnish with parmesan shavings. Serve immediately.
