Gooey White Chocolate Almond Bars



These bars are rich and delicious!

Crust:
1 box yellow cake mix, dry­ not prepared
8 Tablespoons butter, melted
2 eggs
1 teaspoon almond extract

Gooey Layer:
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
2 eggs, beaten
16 oz. powdered sugar
1 tablespoon Amaretto
1- 4 ounce bar white chocolate, chopped

Topping:
½ cup slivered almonds

Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
2. In a medium bowl, combine cake mix, melted butter and eggs. Mix until smooth
and well combined.
3. Pat and press dough evenly over the bottom of a greased 9x13 baking pan. Set
aside.
4. In a separate large bowl, beat and cream the cream cheese. Add the eggs and beat until smooth for a minute or two.
Add powdered sugar, Amaretto, and continue to beat until well combined.  Stir in chopped white chocolate.
5. Pour over crust, sprinkle with the almonds and bake at 350 degrees F for about 25­30 minutes or until done. Do not over bake.
6. When done, remove from oven and let cool completely before cutting into.
